Gracias, Gracias: A Decade in Thread

Ten years ago, I arrived in Victoria carrying thread, memories, and dreams. Through fiber art, embroidery, painting, and shared creative spaces, I slowly began creating a life and community here.

Over the past decade, thread has become both material and language in every chapter of my life. A way to hold stories, migration, and connection. From bold, temporary installations in nature, to vibrant mixed media works of paint and stitches, each thread carries traces of the hands, places, and relationships that have shaped me along the way.

More than just a solo show, this is a celebration of 10 years as a working artist and a gesture of gratitude to the many students, friends, fellow artists, and community members who have shared in this journey and helped make this place feel like home to me.

It’s a reminder that even as we move, change, and part ways, the threads of connection remain.
